Elmira Jackals News Release

ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the ECHL, announced today that seven Jackals that were loaned to the American Hockey League's Albany River Rats Saturday night have been returned to Elmira. The seven-player loan to Albany established an ECHL record for most players loaned to a single club in one day.

Forwards Kevin Ulanski, Brett Pilkington, Pierre-Luc Faubert and Bobby Robins along with defensemen Bryan Rodney, Joe Grimaldi and Chris Busby were in the line-up for Albany yesterday in the River Rats' 4-3 loss at Bridgeport.

Ulanski and Pilkington found the scoresheet as each posted an assist while Grimaldi picked up seven penalty minutes, including a fighting major when he dropped the gloves with Sound Tigers' defenseman Joe Rullier.

Sunday's game marked the AHL debuts for Pilkington, Rodney and Busby.

Winners of four straight games and leaders of the North Division, the Jackals are off until this weekend when they travel to Wheeling for a pair of games Friday and Saturday against the Nailers. The road trip begins a stretch that sees Elmira on the road for eight of their next nine games over the holidays.

The Jackals are next on home ice Saturday, December 29th, when they face the Cincinnati Cyclones in a 7:35 p.m. face-off at First Arena. Tickets for all Jackals home games may be purchased in person at the Gray Street box office at First Arena (10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday), Ticketmaster charge-by-phone at 722-3711, on-line at www.ticketmaster.com, and by calling 734-PUCK (7825).
