Dayton Bombers News Release

Dayton, OH- The Dayton Bombers General Manager Don MacAdam and Head Coach Bill McDonald announced today that forward Matt Beaudoin has been called up to the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League.

"After calling around, Matt's name kept coming up when discussing players," Iowa Stars Director of Hockey Operations Scott White said. "It is all about opportunity for players and this is a chance for Matt to show his abilities at the AHL level. I expect him to suit up for our 3 games this week."

The 23-year-old native of Rock Forest, Quebec, currently leads all rookies in the ECHL in scoring with 17 goals and 21 assists on the season for 38 points. Beaudoin ranks second in the league in scoring behind Dayton teammate Yannick Tifu.

"Matt is more than deserving of this assignment," said McDonald. "He's got the talent for it."

Beaudoin is currently on an eight game point streak (7G,9A) dating back to November 30. He had a career night on Saturday, December 15 against the Johnstown Chiefs as he tallied his first career hat trick and two additional assists to set personal bests in goals and points.

This season Beaudoin has had 12 multipoint games, including his last four, and three multi-goal games.

"He's one of the most dominant players in the league at the moment," MacAdam added.

The Iowa Stars are the "AAA" affiliate of the National Hockey League's Dallas Stars.
