Week in Review

Welcome to the pros

Two Jackals forwards netted their first professional goals this weekend in Manchester. On Saturday, Perry D'Arrisso, skating in his fifth pro game, scored on a tip in the slot for his first pro goal. The Clarkson University product has skated in six games for the Jackals and has two points to begin his pro career.

The next day, rookie Anthony Stefano made his presence felt with his first professional goal and his first pro assist, giving him a multi-point game. He opened the scoring with a goal on breakaway, then picked up an assist on the only other Jackals goal. The OHL product has two points in his first three games with the Jackals.

Blue line blasts

Davis Vandane had a strong week for the Jackals this past weekend, potting three goals in three games. He blasted a power-play goal in each game, ripping a one-timer from the left circle in each instance. The second-year pro is riding a six-game point streak (4g, 4a) heading into the final weekend and he has points in eight of his last nine games (4g, 7a).

The righty-shooting defenseman is fourth on the Jackals with 36 points (11g, 25a), all of which are career highs. His six power-play goals are second on the team behind Kenton Miller's 10 power-play goals.

Rolling at home

Jackals forward Kenton Miller has played his best hockey on home ice and he is riding a six-game goal scoring streak at First Arena, netting eight goals in that stretch. The longest home streak in the league this year is shared by three players at seven games, but Miller's is the longest active streak in the ECHL .

Miller, who has 27 points (18g, 9a) over his last 23 games, has dominated opposition in Elmira. In 31 home games with the Jackals, the Redvers, Saskatchewan native has 32 points (21g, 11a). Overall with the Jackals he has 44 points (29g, 15a) and, including his time with Wheeling to begin the season, he has reached 30 goals for the first time in his ECHL career.
