Kalamazoo's Schneider Named CCM/ECHL Player of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Kalamazoo Wings' forward Peter Schneider has been named the CCM ECHL Player of the Month for March.

Schneider scored 13 goals and added nine assists for 22 points in 14 games, helping the K-Wings to a 10-4-0 record in the month.

The 26-year-old tallied at least one point 13 of his 14 games in March and had five multiple-point games, including a four-point performance (3g-1a) in a 7-5 win at Florida on March 31 and three-point games on March 3 against Brampton (2g-1a) and March 17 against Indy (1g-2a).

A native of Klosterneuburg, Austria, Schneider has 46 points (19g-27a) in 49 games with the K-Wings after posting five points (1g-4a) in 10 games with Florida to start the season.

Schneider has recorded 96 points (40g-56a) in 133 career ECHL games with Kalamazoo, Florida and Indy.

Prior to turning pro, he tallied 47 points (22g-25a) in 138 career collegiate games at Notre Dame.

Runners Up: Peter MacArthur, Adirondack (14 gp, 7g, 8a, 11 pts.) and Eric Faille, Orlando (12 gp, 9g, 13a, 22 pts).

Also Nominated: Mike Cazzola (Fort Wayne), Michael Neal (Indy), Olivier Archambault (South Carolina), Shane Berschbach (Toledo) and Michael Pelech (Utah).
