Quad City Mallards News Release
MOLINE, Ill. **(April 4, 2017) -* The twentieth season throwback jerseys worn by the Quad City Mallards in select games throughout this year will be auctioned off immediately after the Mallards play their final regular season home game Friday night at 7:05 p.m. against the Fort Wayne Komets.
The special edition jerseys are modeled on the sweaters the Mallards wore when they first took the ice in the Quad Cities in 1995. The jerseys feature the Mallards' original burgundy, black and green color scheme and duck head logo. Friday night's winning bidders will receive their jerseys after the end of the Mallards' playoff run.
Friday is also TapOnIt Night at the iWireless Center. Courtesy of TapOnIt, one lucky fan will win a pair of 2017-18 Mallards season tickets while another randomly selected fan will take home an authentic Mallards twentieth season retro jersey. The first 250 fans to arrive for Friday' night's game will receive TapOnIt cups.
For the final time during the regular season, Friday brings the return of $2 Dog/$2 Beer Night presented by 97X. Fans again this season have had the chance to enjoy $2 hot dogs and beers from iWireless Center concession stands during every Friday Mallards home game. In addition, the Mallards have once again this season partnered with Metro to provide transit service between Augustana College and downtown Moline during all Friday home games.
