Milwaukee, WI--Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Shea Weber from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League. In addition, Admirals Executive Vice-President/General Manager Phil Wittliff announced today that the team has recalled defensemen Matt Gens and Corey Hessler from the Rockford IceHogs.

Weber, 20 (8/14/85), leads AHL rookie defensemen in scoring with 22 points (10g-12a) in 35 games this season. The 6-3, 213-pound Sicamous, B.C. native also leads the Admirals in shots (112) and is tied for second on the club with seven power-play goals. Currently playing in his first pro season, Weber was the 2005 Western Hockey League playoff MVP for the WHL Champion Kelowna Rockets and was also named the runner-up for the WHL's 2004-05 Bill Hunter Memorial Trophy (defenseman of the year). He was originally a second-round selection (49th overall) of the Predators in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

This is the third stint with the Admirals for Gens this season. He has played in two games thus far for Milwaukee and 33 games for Rockford, posting 6 points (2g-4a) and 18 PIMs for the IceHogs. Hessler has recorded 31 points (7g-24a) and is +11 in 34 games for Rockford. Hessler was also recently selected to participate in the UHL All-Star game.
