Iowa Stars Left Winger Francis Wathier Visits Jordan Creek Elementary

Stars left winger Francis Wathier stopped by the Reading Rocks & Math Counts day at Jordan Creek Elementary School on Friday, January 13th, 2006. Francis spoke to the children about his background, the importance of education and math and how it's used in everyday life.

He later stressed the importance of getting a degree and finishing your education. He told the students that they need to always be prepared for whatever may happen in life.

Wathier also helped the kids to understand the game of hockey better by explaining rules and even drawing diagrams on the chalkboard. He answered various questions about many different subjects from the students and signed autographs for each one.
