Utah Grizzlies Michaud Recognized

West Valley City, Utah - The ECHL announced today that Utah goaltender Alfie Michaud finished as a runner-up for the league's RBC Financial Group Saver of the Month for November.

The former Vancouver Canuck finished November with a 5-3 record, a 1.85 GAA, a .936 save percentage and one shutout as the Grizzlies temporarily took over first place in the ECHL's West Division.

Michaud opened the month winning five games in a row from November 4-13, and that included a three-game in three-night set on the road where he stopped 80 of 82 shots and allowed just two goals versus Fresno and Long Beach.

The 2002-2003 ECHL goaltender of the year also picked up the first six wins of Utah's nine-game winning streak, which spanned from October 29-November 24.

The Grizzlies return home Saturday, hosting San Diego at the E-Center, face-off is scheduled for 8:05 p.m. Utah will be looking to carry over some momentum from their recent road trip, which saw the team collect five of six possible points in their final three games.
