Salmon Kings acquire Huxley from Wranglers

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings are pleased to announce they have acquired the rights to forward Adam Huxley from the Las Vegas Wranglers for future considerations.

The 6'0" 195lbs native of Wainwright, Alberta finished his rookie season last year with Las Vegas, scoring seven goals and eight assists for 15 points. Huxley broke the Wranglers team record for penalty minutes in a season with 294, with 22 majors.

"I think fans will remember Adam from last season, he is one of those players you love to have on your team and hate to play against. He brings big heart to our line-up," said Victoria Salmon Kings Head Coach and General Manager, Bryan Maxwell.

In 2004, Huxley participated in the Calgary Flames (NHL) and Lowell Lock Monsters (AHL) rookie camp's, before he was assigned to the Wranglers. The 22-year-old left shooting winger played three games with the Alaska Aces in 2003-04, after a full season of Junior in the Western Hockey League, with the Seattle Thunderbirds and Saskatoon Blades.

Huxley will join the Salmon Kings in Boise, Idaho today, in time to be added to the roster for tomorrow nights game against the Steelheads.

The Salmon Kings opened a three game series against Idaho last night with a come from behind 4-2 victory. The final game is on Saturday night before Victoria returns home to prepare for the Alaska Aces on Friday December 16, 2005.
