Reading Royals forward Greg Hogeboom is the CCM Vector ECHL Rookie of the Month for November

Hogeboom averaged over a point a game and had six multiple-point games, registering 15 points (3g-12a) in 11 games while helping the Royals go 9-2-0 for the month. The 23-year-old, who is on an eight-game scoring streak (5g-11a), is tied for second in the league with a team-leading 15 assists and is tied for fourth in the league with a team-high 21 points in 15 games. He leads the league with eight power-play assists and is tied for third in the league with a team-leading 10 power-play points.

Selected in the fifth round (152nd overall) by the Los Angeles in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft and under contract to the Kings, Hogeboom had two assists in the first four games in November before registering six assists and eight points in three games against Dayton, beginning the streak of six multiple-point games that produced 13 points (3g-10a).

The 6-foot and 190-pound Hogeboom was recalled to Manchester of the American Hockey League on Nov. 19 and appeared in one game with the Monarchs before returning to Reading on Nov. 22 and registering a goal and an assist in a 5-0 win against Trenton. He closed the month with two assists against Toledo on Nov. 25 and one assist at Trenton on Nov. 26, helping Reading extend its winning streak to seven games.

The native of Etobicoke, Manitoba began his professional career in 2003-04 with Manchester, recording one assist in three games after completing his senior season at Miami (Ohio) University. He had one goal in 14 games with Manchester in 2004-05 before suffering a season-ending wrist injury.

In four seasons at Miami (Ohio) University from 2000-04, Hogeboom had 120 points (65g-55a) in 156 games and in 2002-03 tied the school record with 17 power-play goals while leading the team with 24 goals in 41 games.
