Titans Make Moves for Playoff Push

TRENTON, NJ (March 16, 2004) - The Trenton Titans announced today several player moves made in anticipation of the ECHL trade deadline. The Titans have activated forward Matt Herneisen off the 7-day injured reserve list and traded him to the Dayton Bombers in exchange for forward Miguel Delisle.

The team has also acquired forward Dean Tiltgen from the San Diego Gulls in exchange for forward Scott Kirton and the rights to Bobby Russell from the Florence Pride for future considerations.

Delisle - 6'1", 200 lbs - is in his rookie season after finishing a five year career in the Ontario Hockey League with the Kingston Frontenacs. He set career highs in 2001-02, leading the Ottawa 67's with 55 goals and 95 points. A former draft pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, Delisle had tallied 8 points and 21 PIM in 15 games with the Dayton Bombers.

Tiltgen - 6'1", 195 lbs. - was in his second season with the Gulls where he had recorded 76 points (30g, 46 a) and 80 PIM in 95 games. The Edmonton, ALTA native is in his seventh professional season and was a former eighth round draft pick of the Buffalo Sabres in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft.

Russell - 6'2", 205 lbs. - is currently on assignment with the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League. With Florence this season, the Surrey, BC native has 6 goals and 17 points in 20 games. A sixth-year pro, Russell's best season came with the Jackson Bandits in 2000-2001, when he notched 68 points and lead the team with 38 goals.

The Trenton Titans are a member of the ECHL - America's Premier "AA" Hockey League. The Trenton Titans play at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ.
