Naud Acquired From Florence & Chambers Placed On IR

Pensacola Ice Pilots News Release


Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots, under the new ownership group of Hockey Enterprises of Pensacola L.L.C. with owner Tim Kerr, announced that the Ice Pilots have acquired forward Eric Naud from the Florence Pride for future considerations.

Naud, who stands 6'1" and weighs 210 pounds, has played in 26 games with Florence this season scoring 6 goals, 13 assists for 19 points and has picked up 55 penalty minutes and has played in 27 games for Columbus of the UHL scoring 6 goals, 8 assists for 14 points and has picked up 60 points.

Naud played in 54 games for Pee Dee in the ECHL last year scoring 10 goals, 21 assists for 31 points and picked up 157 penalty minutes. He also played for Pee Dee during the 2000-2002 seasons. Naud has also played for Jacksonville and Charlotte in the ECHL, Abilene in the WPHL, Detroit in the IHL and Providence of the AHL.

Naud played in the QMJHL during the 1994-1997 seasons for Victoriaville, Laval, St. Hyacinthe, Rouyn-Noranda and Hull. He was drafted by the Boston Bruins during the 1996 NHL Entry Draft in the third round and the 53rd player overall. Naud is 26 years old from LaSalle, Quebec.

The Ice Pilots continue their six game road trip tonight at Mississippi at 6:35 p.m. Fans can hear the game on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network with flagship station WCOA AM 1370, Mediacom TV Guide channel 51, Cox Media channel 2 and 22, ESPN Radio AM 1340 in Ft. Walton Beach and Okaloosa County and on www.icepilots.com sponsored by Sports Avenue.

The Ice Pilots next home game is Friday, March 26th vs. Columbus at 7:05 p.m. It is D.A.R.E. Night. The first 1,000 fans will receive an Ice Pilots team poster. The Ice Pilots will also play home on Saturday, March 27th vs. Texas at 7:05 p.m. It is Military Celebration Night and Baptist Hospital Recognition Night. It is also IHOP Bunny toss. Fans are asked to bring a stuffed bunny animal to the game and when the Ice Pilots score the first goal of the game to toss the bunnies onto the ice. The stuffed animals will be distributed to children organizations in the community.

The Ice Pilots final home game of the regular season is Tuesday, March 30th vs. Texas at 7:05 p.m. It is Fan and Corporate Appreciation Night. The first 1,000 fans will receive a fan flashlight from Beal's Department stores.
