Cincinnati's Prosofsky Named InGlasCo ECHL Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Cincinnati left wing Garrett Prosofsky is the InGlasCo ECHL Player of the Week for March 8-14.

Called up to Springfield of the American Hockey League on March 15, Prosofsky scored a team-leading four goals and eight points as Cincinnati went 2-1-0 on its road trip to Alaska.

Selected in the fifth round (139th overall) by Philadelphia in the 1998 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Prosofsky scored two goals, including a shorthand goal, had a pair of assists and was +4 in Cincinnati's 6-3 win at Alaska on March 10. He scored two goals, including the game winner with a power-play goal, added an assist and was +2 in the Cyclones 3-1 win at Alaska on March 12 and had an assist in Cincinnati's 4-2 loss on March 13.

Prosofsky has appeared in 53 games with Cincinnati and leads the team in goals (22), assists (28), points (50), power-play goals (8), power-play points (17), and shorthand goals (2) and he is tied for the team lead in shorthand points (2g-0a) and game-winning goals (3).

In 2002-03, Prosofsky scored 16 points (8g-8a) in 23 games with Cincinnati while also scoring one point (1g-0a) in three games with Cleveland of the AHL. He began his professional career with Richmond of the ECHL in 2001-02 scored 48 points (25g-23a) in 72 games.

On behalf of Garrett Prosofsky, a case of pucks will be donated to a Cinncinnati area youth hockey organization by InGlasCo.
