NAILERS VS. READING (Tuesday, Saturday, january 10, 14): The Wheeling Nailers head to Reading for a battle for the top spot in the North Division. Both teams are tied with 44 points. Wheeling will travel to Reading three times in 10 days beginning on Tuesday. This will be the 4th meeting of the season with Wheeling holding a 2-1-0 advantage including a victory in Reading on December 13th, 5-2. Reading (21-7-2), the ECHL affiliate of Los Angeles, is returning home from a 7-game road trip. The Royals on Saturday night had their 6-game winning streak and 9-game road winning streak stopped in a 5-2 loss at Trenton. The Nailers Sean Collins has posted 7 points against Reading while Reading's power play has been good against Wheeling going 5 for 17.

NAILERS VS. TOLEDO (Friday, JANUARY 13): The Wheeling Nailers skate against the Toledo Storm for the second straight time at home. Toledo downed Wheeling on Saturday night 2-1. In five meetings the Storm have won 3 of the 5 going 1-1-0 at WesBanco Arena. Toledo (14-10-4) is currently unbeaten in their last 4 games and sit in 4th place in the North Division. Adam Keefe and Ken Magowan each have 6 points against Wheeling while Kurtis McLean has 8 points against the Storm. This will be Toledo's third straight game against Wheeling.

NAILERS VS. TRENTON (Sunday, january 14): The Wheeling Nailers entertain the Trenton Titans for a Sunday matinee in Wheeling. Last Sunday in Trenton, the Titans posted a 3-2 victory. Trenton is 2-0-0 in Wheeling winning both games by identical scores of 3-2. The Nailers are 2-4-0 against Trenton and haven't been able to solve Dustin Traylen who is 3-0-0 in net against Wheeling. The Titans (18-13-2) have turned things around with their season high 4-game winning streak that started with a come from behind win in Wheeling on New Year's Eve. Continued...

NAILERS CELEBRATE AFFILIATION WITH SPECIAL JERSEY AND PUCK

Wheeling, WV - The Wheeling Nailers announce today that they will be wearing special affiliation jerseys this Friday against the Toledo Storm. Also the first 2,000 fans entering the arena will receive a limited edition affiliation puck.

The jerseys and pucks represent the affiliation that the Nailers have had with the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins since 1998-99. The Nailers have enjoyed great success while in the Penguins organization, and have seen many players advance through the system to the AHL and then onto the NHL.

The most recent player to advance to Pittsburgh was Michel Ouellet, who now has 10 goals and six assists in just 13 games, after starting the season off in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Ouellet played for the Nailers in 2002-03 before moving on to the AHL.

The special affiliation jerseys will be auctioned off after the game Friday, proceeds from the jerseys will benefit the Golden Spike Association Tickets for Kids program. Fans that will not be in attendance at the game will be able to send in a proxy bid starting Tuesday morning on the Nailers website (www.wheelingnailers.com).
