Johnstown Chiefs News Release
The Johnstown Chiefs (12-13-8) went 1-1-1. The Chiefs opened the weekend, Friday night, with a 4-3 loss to Reading, then lost in a shootout to Dayton on Saturday, before winning in Dayton on Sunday afternoon. The Chiefs resume their jam packed schedule this week with a home and home against Dayton, which caps off four in a row with the Bombers. The Chiefs return home for a rematch with Reading on Friday, then Toledo on Saturday.

Game #30 (1/6/06) JOHNSTOWN 3 - Reading 4 Boutin 21 Saves
With .500 in sight, the Chiefs rallied for two goals in the third period to tie the game at 3, but a late goal by Chris Bala sealed the deal for Reading. Jean Desrochers continued his strong play, adding a goal, as did Dmitri Tarabrin and Paul Caponigri. J.B. Bittner chipped in two assists. Royals forward Chris Bala scored the game winner, to go with a pair of assists. The Chiefs set a season high with 49 shots.
Game #31 (1/7/06) JOHNSTOWN 3 - Dayton 4 SO Cey 31 saves
The Chiefs failed to hold three one goal leads, then fell in a protracted shootout to the 6th place Bombers, 4-3. Joe Tallari found chemistry with linemate, Jean Desrochers, adding a goal and an assist, while Desrochers had two assists. Adam Henrich also picked up a goal and a helper. Brady Greco, from Brandon Elliott scored the Chiefs first goal.
Game #32 (1/8/06) Johnstown 5 - DAYTON 3 Boutin 41 saves
The Chiefs found a way to dig themselves out of an early 2-0 hole, rallying for four goals in the 3rd period. Paul Caponigri found his scoring touch, picking up a pair of goals, including the game's first and last goals, and two assists. Doug Andress and Joe Tallari scored a goal and an assist. Steve Cygan added a pair of helpers and Jean Desrochers picked up a goal.
