Fresno Falcons News Release
LAST WEEK'S RECORD: 2-1-0 OVERALL RECORD: 18-5-8, 44 pts., 1st Place Pacific Division
Jan. 5 @ Victoria, 5-3 Loss - This loss to the Salmon Kings ended the Falcons' season-high 10-game unbeaten streak, as well as a team-record 11-game unbeaten streak on the road. After battling back from a 2-0 deficit to tie the game at two, Fresno gave-up three quick goals in about a five minute span of the third and never recovered.
Jan. 6 @ Victoria, 4-3 Win - The Falcons bounced back from the previous night's loss behind goals from Luke Curtin, Shawn Mather, J.F. Plourde, and John Wroblewski. The final score was perhaps closer than it should have been as Fresno out-shot Victoria, 43-25, tying a season-high +18 shot margin.
Jan. 7 @ Victoria, 6-2 Win - Fresno won the rubber match of the three-game series with the Salmon Kings on the strength of two goals apiece from Mather and Fraser Clair. Jamie Holden captured the win in goal for the second consecutive evening by making 35 saves.
