MILWAUKE, WI - Goaltender Daniel Taylor made 30 saves for his first professional shutout in the Manchester Monarchs 1-0 victory over the Milwaukee Admirals in front of 4,909 fans at the Bradley Center on Friday night.

Manchester (19-17-4-2) is in fifth place in the Atlantic Division with 44 points. Milwaukee (20-17-2-2) ranks sixth in the West Division with 44 points.

Left wing Petr Kanko's lone goal of the game came at the 15:49 mark of the second period. Defenseman Jon Klemm found Kanko in the neutral zone as he sprung with a burst of speed into Admirals territory. Kanko carried the puck to the top of the left face-off circle before unleashing a laser of a slap shot that bolted between the legs of goaltender Pekka Rinne.

Taylor stopped all 30 shots he faced for the shutout victory. Rinne stopped 15-of-16 shots in the loss.

Manchester went 0-for-1 on the power play. Milwaukee was also 0-for-4 with the man advantage.
