San Antonio responded at 7:44 of the middle stanza when Enver Lisin potted his 13th marker of the campaign to make the score 1-1. Lisin beat a screened ‘Dogs netminder Yann Danis with snap shot to the stick side.

The Bulldogs regained a one-goal lead when Pavel Valentenko fed a cross-ice pass to Stewart who banged in a power-play goal at 9:51 of the second frame. Locke also earned an assist on Stewart's eighth goal of the season.

Kyle Chipchura then tapped in his second goal of the season after a three-way passing play from Valentenko, who earned his second assist of the night, and Duncan Milroy at the 6:19 mark.

Matt D'Agostini then iced the game for the ‘Dogs with his 12th tally of the campaign and fifth goal in as many games at 11:18 of the final period. Locke picked up his third point of the night with an assist on the power-play goal.

Between the pipes, Danis turned aside 30 of 32 shots in the win for Hamilton while his counterpart Tordjman made 23 saves on 27 shots in a losing effort for San Antonio.

The Bulldogs dominated special teams play, going 2-for-5 on the power play and a perfect 7-for-7 on the penalty kill.
