January 18, 2008 - The Springfield Falcons defeated the Hartford Wolf Pack 3-1 on Friday night in front of an energetic crowd of 4,785 at the MassMutual Center. The Falcons now head to Hershey for a Saturday night match-up with the Bears at the Giant Center.

The Falcons started the game strong and it didn't take long for the Birds to take a lead as Troy Bodie opened the scoring just 2:57 into the first period giving the Falcons a 1-0 lead. Hartford ended up tying the score at 1-1 at the 14:55 mark of the opening frame when Ryan Callahan tallied a power play goal sending the game tied into the first intermission.

Springfield regained their lead at 2-1 when Jean-Francois Jacques tallied his 11th marker of the year at 5:09 of the middle session.

The Falcons took a 2-1 lead into the third period where Tim Sestito scored his fourth goal of the year at 11:19 of the final frame capping off the Falcons first win against Hartford this season.
