STORM NOTES
- Explosion! Friday night Toledo exploded for 7 goals on the Wheeling Nailers. That was the most goals scored by a Storm team in a game since January 13, 2004 (7-1 Win at Greenville). The most goals scored in a game by a Storm team are 12, which the Storm hit twice. The first was October 22, 1993 vs. Johnstown (12-2 Win), and February 16, 1994 vs. Huntsville (12-0).
- Bonello goes for the Trick! Friday night was the coming out party for Brad Bonello. Not only did he extend his point streak to seven games, but also he scored the first hat trick of the season by a Storm player. Following the game, Brad was recalled to Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League.
- Home Cooking! Toledo's win Friday night was the 8th this season on home ice. Toledo is 8-1-2 at the Sports Arena, and is tied behind only Alaska, who has won 9 games at home.
- Power Play! By not scoring a power play goal Saturday night in Reading, Toledo had its Streak snapped at 12 straight games in which the Storm PP had found the back of the net. Toledo has 27 power play goals in 134 opportunities this season. The Storm rank 9th in the ECHL at 20.1%
- Penalty Kill! The Storm is ranked 20th in the league in kill percentage at 79.8%. Toledo has allowed 22 goals in 109 times shorthanded this year.
STORM WATCH
- Storm Coach's Show! The Toledo Storm Coach's Show is this Tuesday evening from 6-7pm at the Maumee Bay Brewing Company inside the Oliver House, Downtown Toledo. Head Coach Nick Vitucci and Storm forward Scooter Smith will join Matt Melzak for insight and conversation on the start of the 2005-06 season and what lies ahead for the Storm. The Storm Coach's Show can be heard live on Dominion 1520 JAMZ, which is the home of Toledo Storm Hockey.
- Storm Player Sightings! Wednesday features all the players appearing at the Toledo Storm Booster Club Christmas Party at 7pm, bowling inside Bay Center Recreation. Also on Wednesday at 1pm, the Read to Score program continues: Ryan Reid, Gerry Burke, Jeff Lang, and Adam Keefe reading to first and second grade classes at Larchmont School. B.J. Adams, Robert Snowball, and David Cann will be reading to the first and second grade classes at Meadows Choice Community School. Josh Zavitz, Ryan Gale, Chris Blight, and Bracken Kearns will be reading once again to Raymer Elementary. Also on that Wednesday Logan Koopmans, Jason Maleyko, Mike James, Ken Magowan, Jeff Attard, and Scooter Smith will be visiting the Toledo Childrens Hospital at 2pm. - Storm Action! The Storm return to action this Friday night against the Las Vegas Wranglers. These two teams will meet twice this season, as the Wranglers and Storm will play again Saturday night. Toledo is 1-0-2 All-Time against the Wranglers, after the two played 3 times in Vegas last season. Wrangler's goaltender Mike McKenna has a 5-0-0 record with a 1.98 goals against average, and .920 save percentage. Saturday night's game will be televised LIVE on Buckeye Cable Sports Network (BCSN). Sunday afternoon features a renewal of one of the ECHL's oldest rivalries as the Johnstown Chiefs invade one main street. Toledo is 2-1-0 against Johnstown this season, outscoring the Chiefs 14-9. Toledo has scored 7 power goals in 30 opportunities against the Chiefs this year (23.3%). The second post game skate of the season will follow Sunday's game.

Logan made 44 saves in Toledo's 7-3 win Friday night against Wheeling.
