December 5, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Charlotte Checkers News Release
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers game vs. the Columbia Inferno, scheduled for Monday, December 5th at 7:00 pm has been rescheduled for Tuesday, December 6th at 7:00 pm. The game was postponed prior to warm-ups due to unsafe ice conditions caused by a Zamboni malfunction.
"Player safety is always our first concern and due to unforeseen ice conditions caused by Zamboni problems, we felt it was in the best interest of the players to reschedule the game for tomorrow night," said Checkers President Jeff Longo. "The Checkers and Charlotte Bobcats Arena apologize for any inconvenience and hope you will attend tomorrow night's game."
Tickets for Monday's game are valid for Tuesday's game or may be exchanged for upcoming Checkers home game. Fans who redeem Monday's ticket on Tuesday may present their ticket at any concession stand for a complimentary hot dog and soft drink.
The Checkers are back in action tomorrow night at 7:00 pm as they host the Columbia Inferno at St. Lawrence Homes Home Ice at Charlotte Bobcats Arena. The Checkers will host the Gwinnett Gladiators on Thursday and South Carolina Stingrays on Friday.
