- Friday's defeat also snapped the Royals' seven game home win streak.
- The longest streak of consecutive wins at home in team history is also nine, a streak that the Royals put together from January 2 through 15, 2004.
- This Friday, the Royals kick off a sequence of the schedule during which the team will play seven games in ten days.
- Five of these seven games will be played at the Sovereign Center.
- Four of these seven games will be against teams from the Pacific Division-two against the Long Beach IceDogs (12/10 & 12/11) and two against the Fresno Falcons (12/17 & 12/18).
- In the two games this past week, the Royals' defense allowed seven goals. In the four games leading up to this week's action, the Royals had allowed only a total of four goals.
- Through sixteen games this season, the opposition has scored 39 goals on the Royals, which translates into a 2.44 team goals against average, which ranks the team third out of the 25 teams in the ECHL in that category.
- The Royals scored a total of eight goals in the two games played this past week.

- Hogeboom also assisted on the Royals' third goal of the game-a power play goal by Reagan Rome at the 7:46 mark of the third period to tie the score at three-marking Hogeboom's eighth multi-point game of the season for the Royals.
- Hogeboom also scored the Royals second goal on Saturday night-a power play goal at the 10:39 mark of the first period to give the Royals a 2-0 lead-extending Hogeboom's personal point streak to eight games (6g-10a=16pts).
- Hogeboom has had at least one point in eleven of the fifteen games that he has played with the Royals this year.
- Hogeboom is tied (with Mike Kompon) for the team lead in points scored with 21: (6g-15a=21pts).

- The Royals' second goal (which made the score 3-2 in favor of Dayton) on Friday night was scored by Dany Roussin, while the Royals were on the power play at the 15:28 mark of the second period.
- This marked the first goal for Roussin as a member of the Royals in his first game with the team.
- Roussin had been re-assigned by the Manchester Monarchs (AHL) on Thursday, December 1; he played one game for the Royals (on Friday night); and was recalled to Manchester immediately following that game.
- The Royals' third goal, which tied the scored at three at the 7:46 mark of the third period, while the Royals were skating on a 5-on-3 power play, was scored by Reagan Rome.
- This marked the second goal in as many games for Reagan Rome.

- T.J. Kemp assisted on the second and third goals scored by the Royals on Friday night.
- Kemp also picked up an assist on the Royals third goal (by Tyler Hanchuck) in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Toledo Storm.
- Kemp is currently riding a team high nine game point streak during which he has scored two goals and added fifteen assists.
- Kemp's seventeen points places him tied for sixth in rookie scoring and tied for fourth in defensemen scoring.
- Kemp's fifteen assists places him tied for second amongst rookies and tied for second amongst defensemen in that category.
- The Dayton Bombers Mark Flood scored the game winning goal on Friday night with just 36 seconds remaining in the game. That goal was Flood's second of the game, broke a 3-3 tie, and gave the Bombers the two points.
- This marked the second game this season that Mark Flood has scored two goals against the Royals-he also had a two goal game in the Royals 6-3 win over Dayton on November 18.

- Over the course of the season, Reading has scored 23 ppg in 87 chances, a 26.4% scoring ratio, which is second in the league.
- On Friday night, the Bombers scored two power play goals in nine chances with the man advantage.
- This marked only the third time this season that the opponent has scored more than one power play goal in a single game against the Royals.
- On Saturday night, the Royals pk blanked the Storm in six chances with the man advantage, marking the seventh time this season the Royals have kept the opponents' power play unit off the board.

- Over the course of the season, Reading's pk has allowed twelve power play goals against in 98 chances, an 87.8% kill ratio, which is tied for the best pk percentage in the league.
- The Royals' first goal on Saturday night-the first goal of the game-was scored by Stuart Kerr at the 9:24 mark of the first period.
- Kerr, who ordinarily plays defense, was playing in a forward's position on Saturday night because the Royals' roster was reduced to 14 skaters-eight forwards and six defensemen.
- Kerr's goal was the first of his pro career.
- The Royals' third goal on Saturday night was the scored by Tyler Hanchuck at the 10:02 mark of the second period and made the score 3-0 Reading.
- That goal was the first goal of Hanchuck's professional career, which has spanned across 3 seasons and 108 games through Saturday night.

- The Royals' fourth goal on Saturday night, which turned out to be the game winner, was scored by Chris Bala at the 11:11 mark of the second period, while the Royals were playing a man short.
- This goal marked the first of the season for Bala as a member of the Royals.
- This goal was also the second short-handed goal of the season for Reading-and both of the short-handed goals scored this season turned out to be game winners. (The other was scored by Mike Pandolfo in the season opening 3-2 win over the Johnstown Chiefs.)
- With this goal Bala became the eleventh different member of the Reading Royals-in just twelve wins this season-to score a game winning goal.
- Mike Pandolfo assisted on short-handed game winner by Chris Bala on Saturday night.
- Pandolfo also assisted on the Royals' second goal (by Dany Roussin) in the 4-3 loss to Dayton on Friday night.

- The Royals' fifth goal (which made the score 5-0) on Saturday night was scored by Mike Kompon at the 15:25 mark of the second period, while the Royals were on a five-on-three power play.
- For Kompon that was his seventh goal of the season, and his fourth scored while the team was on the power play. (He's now tied for the team lead in power play goals with Mike Pandolfo and Doug Christiansen.)
- Kompon also assisted on two other goals for the Royals on Saturday, marking his second three point performance-and his sixth multi-point game-of the season for Reading.
- Kompon, who has had at least one point in 12 of the 16 games that he has played for the Royals this year, is tied with Greg Hogeboom for the team lead in points with 21 (7g-14a=21pts).
- Saturday's 5-3 win over Toledo marked the fifth time this season that the Royals have scored five or more goals in a single game and each of the team's goals were registered by a different player.
- In fact, in Friday's game, eleven of the fourteen skaters for the Royals registered a point-and only one player, Mike Kompon, registered more than one point.
- All three of Toledo's goals on Saturday came in the third period. This marked the fifth time this season that the Royals have allowed two or more goals in the third period. In each of those games, the Royals entered the third period with a lead; and in four of those games, the Royals still picked up the win. (Only in the second game of the season, when the Royals entered the third period leading 4-2 over the Wheeling Nailers and gave up three third period goals-and scored one of their own-did the Royals end up going to overtime and, ultimately, losing in the shootout.)
- Royals' defenseman Chris Barr had an assist and played at a +2 in Saturday's 5-3 over Toledo.
- Barr currently leads the Royals in +/-, playing at a plus 12.
- Barr's plus 12 leads all rookies-and is second with respect to ECHL defensemen-in that category.
- In Saturday's game, Cody Rudkowsky (9-1-0) stopped 34 of the 37 shots-16 of 19 in the third period-he faced to pick up his ninth win of the season.
- Rudkowsky's nine wins is tied for second among ECHL goaltenders in that category.
- This win extended Rudkowsky's personal win streak to six games. (He has also won all six games that he has played at the Sovereign Center this year.)
