Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers posted a 3-0-1 record this week with victories over Johnstown, Phoenix and Idaho. Tuesday night, Las Vegas edged Johnstown 5-4 in a shootout at home. Thursday night, the Wranglers shutout Phoenix 3-0 at American West Arena. Friday, the Wranglers fell in overtime, 2-1 to the Idaho Steelheads at the Orleans Arena. The Wranglers redeemed themselves with a 5-3 victory over Idaho on Saturday.
The Wranglers will host the Johnstown Chiefs on Tuesday at 7:05 pm. Las Vegas will travel to Ohio for games in Toledo on Friday and Saturday. Sunday afternoon, the Wranglers play in Wheeling for the first time in team history.

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Johnstown Chiefs 5-4 in a shootout in front of 4,010 fans at the Orleans Arena on Tuesday night. Las Vegas center Derek Edwardson scored two goals in regulation and added a shootout goal in the win. The Wranglers set a new team record with 58 shots on goal. Wranglers' goalie Marc Magliarditi made 30 saves in the win, pushing his record to 7-4-0 on the season. Johnstown goaltender Morgan Cey made 54 saves in the losing effort.

Las Vegas 3 at Phoenix 0
Phoenix, AZ - The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Phoenix Roadrunners 3-0 at the American West Arena on Thursday night. Rookie goalie Mike McKenna made 17 saves for his first professional shutout. Rookie forward Chris Neiszner scored the game-winning goal and forwards Dan Tudin and Matt Dzieduszycki also scored in the win.

Idaho 2 at Las Vegas 1 OT
The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated 2-1 in overtime by the Idaho Steelheads on Friday night in front of 7,341 fans at the Orleans Arena. Former Wrangler Garett Bembridge scored the game-winning goal with 1:09 remaining in overtime, lifting the Steelheads to victory. Idaho goaltender Steve Silverthorn made 43 saves for the victory. Wranglers' forward Steve Crampton scored the lone goal for Las Vegas.

Idaho 3 at Las Vegas 5
Las Vegas, NV - Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Idaho Steelheads 5-3 on Saturday night in front of 5,779 fans at the Orleans Arena. Forward Matt Dzeiduszycki and Charles Linglet each scored a goal and added two assists as Las Vegas remained unbeaten in regulation at home this season (9-0-1). Winger Steve Crampton also scored a goal and added an assist as Las Vegas moved to within one point of Idaho in the West division standings. Las Vegas goalie Mike McKenna stayed unbeaten this season with 23 saves, improving to 5-0-1.

Johnstown Chiefs - (6-8-6, 18 Points) - The Johnstown Chiefs return to the Orleans Arena on Tuesday night for their final meeting of the season. Former Wrangler Justin Kelly leads the Chiefs in scoring with nine goals and ten assists for 19 points in 13 games. The Johnstown Chiefs also feature former Wrangler Jason Spence. Johnstown goaltender Morgan Cey has a record of 4-1-2 with a 2.48 goals against average, and a .930 save percentage. The Wranglers defeated the Chiefs in the last meeting between these two teams, a 5-4 shootout win at the Orleans Arena last Tuesday.
Toledo Storm - (9-5-3, 21 Points) - The Wranglers travel east this weekend to take on the Toledo Storm. The Storm are 9-5-3 with 21 points, and in fourth place in the North Division. Center Scooter Smith has nine goals and 14 assists for 23 points on the season. The Storm feature former Wranglers center Jeff Attard. Attard has seven goals and four assists for 11 points this season. Toledo is 8-1-2 at home this season.
Wheeling Nailers - (12-5-1, 25 Points) - The Wranglers head to Wheeling on Sunday to face-off with the Nailers. Wheeling is a young team led by rookie scoring leaders Sean Collins and Kurtis McLean. Collins has nine goals and 17 assists for 26 points. McLean has tallied 13 goals and 11 assists for 24 points. The Nailers are currently fourth in the ECHL averaging 3.78 goals per game. Wheeling is in second place in the North division and 7-2-1 at home.
