Augusta Lynx News Release
Lynx This Week
Tuesday, December 6 @ Gwinnett - 7:05 pm
The Lynx return to Gwinnett for the first time since Thanksgiving Night, a 3-2 shootout win for Augusta. Despite having a depleted roster at the time, Augusta found goals from Sam Ftorek and Paul Kelly while getting a monster 53-save performance from Jason Wolfe to hang on to a 2-2 tie through regulation and take the shootout in six rounds thanks to goals from Brennan Lundberg and John Whitwell.
Pascal Pelletier and Derek Nesbitt scored for the Gladiators, and Sean Fields made 26 saves to help Gwinnett get the single point. Also of note, each team gave up a shorthanded goal in the game during the second period.
Wednesday, December 7 vs. Pensacola - 7:05 pm
Promotions: Hump Day with the Hooters Girls
Pensacola returns one week after handing the Lynx a 2-1 defeat in their own building, scoring twice in the second period while the Lynx closed the gap with a late Martin Lapointe power play goal. Jason Wolfe made 31 saves in the loss for Augusta, while recently-recalled Frederic Cloutier earned the win with 35 stops.
Pensacola does not expect Cloutier back in time for the game, but may have Todd Ford back, who is currently on recall to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.
