Solar Bears and Everblades to Participate in Wawa Sunshine Cup Series

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Toronto Marlies, are excited to announce the team's participation in the inaugural Wawa Sunshine Cup Series with their in-state rivals, the Florida Everblades.
The Wawa Sunshine Cup will be awarded to the team with the most standings points earned in head-to-head competition during the 2015-16 regular season. In the event of a tie in points, the first tie-breaker will be the greater number of total goals scored, followed by the fewest goals allowed.
During all Wawa Sunshine Cup games held at Amway Center, fans will have the opportunity to receive valuable coupons from Wawa. On Thursday, Apr. 7, which is also Fan Appreciation Night for the Solar Bears, Wawa will distribute a coupon to every fan in attendance, good for a free Sizzli breakfast sandwich, Classic Hoagie, Milkshake and Fountain drink, a $15 value.
The Solar Bears face the Everblades 14 times during the 2015-16 regular season, including eight home matches at the Amway Center, and six away contests at Germain Arena in Estero.
