They are coming off of a 3-2 overtime win over the Kalamazoo Wings on Wednesday afternoon. Defensemen David Shields and Ryan Constant, and forward Rob Bordson netted the goals for Adirondack. Bordson is the League's scoring leader, accounting for 13 points (7g, 6a) through the first seven games this season. He is followed by a trio of seven-point scorers in Louick Marcotte (5g, 2a), Shields (2g, 5a), and Greg Wolfe (1g, 6a). In net, Ken Appleby has shouldered the bulk of the load this season, posting a 5-0-0-0 record along with a 1.98 goals-against average, and a .933 save percentage.

Inside the Series: This is the first all-time meeting between the Cyclones and the Thunder. Adirondack competed in the American Hockey League (AHL) last season, prior to the ECHL/AHL realignment this past offseason.

Next Game Preview: The Cyclones welcome in the Evansville IceMen on Saturday for a 7:30pm faceoff. This will be the first of nine meetings between the two clubs this season, with the Cyclones having won 10-of-11 meetings last season. Saturday is also The Cure Starts Now Night, which honors and pays tribute to Lauren Hill; the former Mt. St. Joseph's basketball player who lost her battle with cancer earlier this year. The Cyclones will wear special jerseys during the game that will be auctioned off immediately following the contest.

The Puck Stops Here: Goaltender Brad Thiessen is near the top of the ECHL goaltending category through his first four starts of the season, posting a 3-0-0-1 record, and leading the League with a 0.98 goals-against average and a .965 save percentage. He earned his third win of the season with a 36-save performance in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Ft. Wayne Komets, and has allowed one goal in each of his four starts.

Knocking the Rust Off: Forward Garrick Perry made his season debut in Wednesday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Toledo Walleye. Perry accounted for two shots, and dished out a couple of big hits in the contest. This is the first full season for the rookie out of Apple Valley, MN, who skated in 14 games last season following the conclusion of his NCAA career at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, netting a pair of goals and posting a plus-two on-ice rating.

Defensively Offensive: Cincinnati's defensive corps have been finding the scoresheet early in the season. Cyclones defenseman Garrett Noonan scored his second goal in as many games in last Friday's 3-1 loss to the Kalamazoo Wings, while Mike Ratchuk scored his first of the season in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Ft. Wayne Komets. They join defenseman Steve Weinstein who potted his first professional goal on October 24th, in a 4-1 win over this Wings. Overall, the Cincinnati blueline has been responsible for four goals and four assists through the first five games of the season.

Power Supply: For the second time in two weeks, Cincinnati's power play converted twice in a game, going 2-for-3 in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Fort Wayne Komets. After finishing last season with the 25th power play in the ECHL, Cincinnati is now eighth in the League, converting on 21.1% (4-of-19) of man-advantage opportunities.
