NEWS AND NOTES
FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS: The Portland Sea Dogs and Trenton Thunder (Yankees affiliate) resume their four-game series on Friday night at Hadlock Field...Portland is looking to snap a four-game losing streak, and get back to .500 at home this half...The 'Dogs play seven of their final 12 games in Maine...Following this series, the 'Dogs open up a five-game series in four days on Monday night against the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (Mets affiliate).
SHUT DOWN ON THURSDAY: Trenton RHP Nick Green (W, 3-3) tossed six scoreless frames on four hits, one walk, and seven strikeouts, as the Thunder took the opener, 7-0...LHP Daniel McGrath (6-1) suffered his first loss of the season, yielding four runs on eight hits over six innings pitched...McGrath allowed homers to 1B Chris Gittens and C Kellin Deglan...The Sea Dogs picked up all five hits from the first five batters in the lineup.
