February 10, 2021 - The Richmond Flying Squirrels have signed a Player Development License (PDL) with Major League Baseball and will remain the Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants.

February 9, 2021 - RICHMOND, Va. - José Alguacil will return as the Richmond Flying Squirrels' manager for the 2021 season, the San Francisco Giants announced on Monday. Alguacil will be joined by pitching coach Steve Kline, hitting coach Doug Clark and fundamentals coach Gary Davenport.
Alguacil had been named as the Flying Squirrels' manager last year prior to the cancelation of the 2020 season. He previously managed in Richmond during the 2015 season and led the team to a 72-68 record, the third-best mark in the franchise's history an... Full Story
January 29, 2021 - Portland, Maine - The Boston Red Sox have named Corey Wimberly the new manager of the Portland Sea Dogs. In addition, Lance Carter will serve as pitching coach and Lance Zawadzki as hitting coach. Scott Gallon returns for his fifth season as the Sea Dogs' Athletic Trainer and Jeff Dolan will be the Sea Dogs' strength and conditioning coach. December 9, 2020 - CURVE, Pa. - The Altoona Curve received an invitation to be part of Major League Baseball's new player development system to remain the Double-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, the two clubs announced on Wednesday.
Under MLB's new player development structure, the Pittsburgh Pirates extended invitations to four minor league clubs: the Indianapolis Indians, Altoona Curve, Greensboro Grasshoppers and Bradenton Marauders.
