Ryan Stoa Named to AHL All-Star Game

Second-year Monsters center Ryan Stoa has been named to the Western Conference All-Star Team.

Stoa has appeared in 39 of Lake Erie's 41 games so far this year and currently leads the Monsters in goals (14) and is second in points (25). His five power play goals is first on the team and his eight power play points is tied for second.

Stoa will make his first All-Star appearance and becomes the fifth Monsters player named to the AHL All-Star Game since the team's first season in 2007-08.

The Bloomington, Minnesota native recorded 40 points (23G, 17A) in 54 games his rookie season in 2009-2010. He also played in 12 games for Lake Erie's NHL parent club Colorado last year, posting two goals and an assist. His 23 goals with Lake Erie last year was tied for second on the team and his 40 points was fourth on the team.
