St. Cloud, MN - On Tuesday night, St. Cloud (14-6) battled back from an early deficit to earn a 5-4 walk-off victory over La Crosse (11-11)

Chris Esposito (Nebraska-Omaha) came to the plate with one out and runners on second and third and came through with the walk-off base hit. Esposito sent a ground ball bouncing over the head of the third baseman and into left field to seal the victory.

The Rox have now won six consecutive games and 12 of their last 14 over the last two weeks. St. Cloud was able to keep themselves in first place at the top of the Great Plains West with the victory.

Early on, the Rox fell behind 4-1, but tied the game in the seventh with a three-run frame. Otto Kemp (Point Loma Nazarene) drove in a run with one of the four St. Cloud hits in the inning to even the game up late.

On the mound, Trevor Koenig (St. Cloud State) went six innings as the starter and allowed just two earned runs and struck out four. Koenig was able to minimize damage early and hold La Crosse from breaking through for a big inning.

Andrew Morones (San Joaquin Delta) threw two solid innings in the eighth and the ninth to help the Rox send the game to extra innings. Morones worked out of a few jams to keep the game tied late.

Connor Barison (Washington State) had to record three outs with a runner on third in order to hold the Loggers scoreless in the top of the tenth inning. Barison induced two groundouts and a strikeout to give the Rox a chance to walk it off.

St. Cloud finishes off its six-game homestand with a doubleheader against the Willmar Stingers on Wednesday. First pitch of game one will be at 1:05 pm while the nightcap will begin at 7:05 pm.
