WINNIPEG, Manitoba - Rampage right wing Viktor Tikhonov scored twice as the San Antonio Rampage beat the Manitoba Moose 2-1 on Friday night at the MTS Centre.

Tikhonov recorded his third multiple-point game of the season as he played in his fourth contest back from a six-week absence with a broken hand.

The Moose were first to jump on the scoreboard 13:48 after the initial puck drop when right wing Tom Maxwell snapped a shot from the right face off dot that went wide of Rampage goaltender Matt Climie's blocker and into the back of the net for a 1-0 lead.

San Antonio responded just 13 seconds later after Alex Picard set up Tikhonov at the top of the crease where he chipped the puck over the glove of Manitoba netminder Tyler Weiman to tie the game at 1-1.

The Rampage claimed a 2-1 advantage on Tikhonov's second goal of the night and sixth of the season. Tikhonov skated from the left boards to the high slot where he fired a bullet through traffic to the low stick side of Weiman and into the back of the net with 1:46 remaining in the second period.

With one minute remaining in the contest, Moose head coach Claude Noel pulled Weiman in favor of a sixth attacker, however, neither team was able to light the lamp in the third period sealing the Rampage victory at 2-1.

Climie finished the game with 25 saves on 26 Moose shot attempts giving him the second star honor while Weiman stopped 27 Rampage shots on 29 attempts.

The Rampage return to the ice on Saturday night for the second part of a back-to-back series against the Manitoba Moose with a 7:30 p.m. puck drop at the MTS Centre.
