Syracuse, NY (February 11, 2011) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have teamed up with Central New York's meteorologist Wayne Mahar to sell 'mystery autographed' game pucks at the club's game on Saturday, February 19 vs. Rochester to benefit the Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation.

For $10 fans will have the opportunity to purchase a bag that contains a puck with a mystery autograph. The bags will be sold by Mahar and staff outside the Crunch's main office located on the Montgomery Street side of The Oncenter War Memorial Arena.

Ten (10) Anaheim Ducks autographed pucks, including pucks signed by Todd Marchant, Curtis McElhinney, Matt Beleskey and Dan Sexton, as well as all of the current Crunch players are among those available. Foundation t-shirts will also be for sale.

In addition, all proceeds from the Crunch Foundation prize wheel that night will be donated to the Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation.

The Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation is a not-for-profit organization started in 2008 by Central New York's meteorologist Wayne Mahar in honor of his mother, who, like Wayne, was an animal lover. Through various events, the Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation raises and distributes money to animal welfare organizations throughout Central New York.

The Crunch hit the road for the next three games, including back-to-back contests against Norfolk on Friday, February 11 and Saturday, February 12. Syracuse returns home to face San Antonio on Friday, February 18 at 7:30 p.m. at The Oncenter War Memorial Arena. Season and single-game tickets for the 2010-11 season are on sale and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473- 4444, or by stopping by the Crunch office at The Oncenter War Memorial Arena, located at 800 South State Street in downtown Syracuse.
