Canucks Re-Assign Cody Hodgson to Moose

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, today announced they have re-assigned centre Cody Hodgson to the Moose.

Hodgson, 20, is in his rookie pro season and appeared in 28 games for the Moose before being recalled by the Canucks on Jan. 31/11. The native of Markham, ON played in five games for the Canucks and scored his first career NHL goal on Feb. 2/11 @ Phoenix. With the Moose this season, Hodgson has scored 16 points (10g, 6a) and collected 10 penalty minutes. Earlier this season, he had a six-game points streak which saw him collect 10 points (6g, 4a).

Hodgson previously played in 11 Calder Cup playoff games with the Moose in 2009 where he scored six points (4g, 2a). Hodgson, who won a Gold Medal with Team Canada at the 2009 IIHF Under-20 World Championships, has not appeared in an NHL game to this point in his career.

He was originally drafted by Vancouver in the first round, 10th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
