San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO â Jan. 23, 2004 â San Antonio Rampage General Manager Bobby Jay announced today that the American Hockey League club has recalled center Brent Cullaton from the Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League and that the Florida Panthers recalled defenseman Kristian Kudroc yesterday.
The 29-year-old Cullaton, who started and recorded an assist last night in the 2004 Dodge CHL All-Star game, has recorded four points in three games with the Rampage this season. The 6-foot, 220-pound forward scored an unassisted goal in his first game with the Rampage on Jan. 15 against Utah and tallied three assists the following game at Houston on Jan. 17. The Cambridge, Ontario native won the Fastest Skater award last night in the Comcast 2004 CHL All-Star Skills Competition by skating a lap around the ice in 14.28 seconds. Cullaton also was the CHL's Player of the Month for December.
Kudroc, a 6-foot-7, 255-pound defenseman, has appeared in 11 games with San Antonio, recording two points (1-1-2) this season. He scored his first goal of the year Wednesday in the Rampage's 3-2 loss to the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks. For his career, he has played in 24 NHL contests with Tampa Bay, registering four points (2-2-4) and 36 penalty minutes.
Defenseman McNeill Out
Rookie defenseman Grant McNeill sustained a broken jaw during a fight with Josh Gratton in the second period of Wednesday's game against Cincinnati. He is in Florida and will have surgery today. McNeill, 20, leads the team in penalty minutes with 110 PIM in 34 games played with the Rampage.
