Wanvig reassigned to Aeros

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Doug Risebrough announced tonight that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned RW Kyle Wanvig to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL), the team's primary development affiliate.

Wanvig, 22 (1/29/81), was most recently recalled on January 18 and has recorded one assist and 10 penalty minutes in six games with the Wild this season.

Wanvig posted 23 points (15g, 8a) and 69 penalty minutes in 39 games with the Aeros, and he left the team as its leading scorer. Wanvig has nine goals and two assists in his last 13 games prior to his recall.

The Aeros play host to Syracuse Saturday at 7 p.m. It's Johan Holmqvist Bobblehead Night, presented by Memorial Hermann Hospital. The first 3,000 fans through the Toyota Center Doors will receive a Holmqvist bobblehead.
