Pea Soup for the Packer Heart Book Signing at Saturday's Admirals Game

(Neenah, WI) Author Steve Rose, who wrote Leap of Faith: God Must Be a Packer Fan that sold 50,000 copies in 1996, will be signing copies of his latest book Pea Soup for the Packer Heart: A Tribute to the World's Greatest Fans & Team! during the Milwaukee Admiral game this Saturday night at the Bradley Center. It will take place from 6:30 - 8:30pm during the game with Texas. A portion (25%) of the retail price from each sale will be going to the Milwaukee Admirals Power Play Foundation and "The Way Outfitters" a charity Packer A.J. Hawk and his wife Laura support. Chris Peppas, a veteran Milwaukee media personality, will join Rose. He has a story in the book called "Likeable Lionel" about the late Packer player Lionel Aldridge.

Pea Soup for the Packer Heart is a collection of 99 stories over 208 pages about and from Green Bay Packers fans, current and past Packers players, sports media personalities and more. Stories range from laugh-out-loud funny to ones that will bring tears. Stories about current Packers and there are many Milwaukee media figures in the book including Lance Allan, Tom Pipines, Jen Lada, Michael Hunt and Dennis Krause. The Foreword was written by Kevin Harlan, NFL on CBS; cover endorsements are from Wayne Larrivee, the radio voice of the Packers, former FOX analyst Brian Baldinger and Jeff Maillet, Editor of Packer Plus.

A highlight is Packer A.J. Hawk will pre-sign some books to be sold during the signing, but will not attend due to the Packer game in Detroit Sunday. A.J. and his wife Laura Hawk are pictured on the back cover of the book, and are grateful to be part of a chapter called "Rawhide, Roger and The Way Outfitters" and have their favorite charity "The Way Outfitters" as a benefactor of through book sales. They love the book.

"It's a real nice compilation," Laura said of the Pea Soup book. "It's a neat book...like Chicken Soup for the Christian Soul which I had read. Steve has done a great job in bringing us this book and a lot for the community. Anybody that is a Packer fan will absolutely love it." They are perfect Christmas gifts," added A.J.

Rose's other books Leap of Faith God Must Be a Packer Fan (sold 50,000 copies), Leap of Faith 2: God Loves Packer Fans and Leap of Faith 3: The Packer Hall of Faith will be available for purchase at the signing with those proceeds going to charity too. Steve grew up on a diary farm near Eden and is a graduate of Campbellsport High School both an hour north of Milwaukee.
