Rockford IceHogs News Release
Rockford, Ill.- A season high seven-game homestand continues tonight for the Rockford IceHogs as they open a two-game weekend when the Milwaukee Admirals come to town at 7:05 p.m.
The weekend also includes the IceHogs annual Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday when Rockford faces off against the Oklahoma City Barons for the first time ever at 7:05 p.m. Also Saturday, the first 2,500 fans to the game will receive an IceHogs winter scarf courtesy of Mega Truck Rental and 97ZOK.
Fans are invited to bring new stuffed animals to the game on Saturday and when Rockford scores their first goal against the Barons, fans can toss the stuffed animals onto the ice. The stuffed animals will be collected and distributed by IceHogs players and staff members to local hospitals and non-profit organizations to brighten the holidays for kids in the Rockford area.
For tickets to either game, call (815) 968-5222, on-line at icehogs.com or in person at the MetroCentre Box Office beginning at noon on Friday and Saturday.
Both games this weekend can be heard on 1330 AM WNTA or on-line at wnta.com. beginning at 6:35 p.m. with the U.S. Cellular Pregame Show.
