STREAK NOW AT THREE

Atlantic City, NJ - Mark Kosick tallied the game-tying goal with 12.1 seconds left in regulation and notched the game-winner in the fourth round of the shootout to lead the Wheeling Nailers to a 2-1 shootout victory over the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies before 1693 at Historic Boardwalk Hall in ECHL action Friday.

The win gives the Nailers their second three game winning streak of the 2004-05 season.

The Bullies opened the scoring at 4:23 of the first period on the power play. Fraser Clair fed a wide open Dave Reid cutting into the slot, and Reid ripped a slap shot over the right shoulder of Wheeling goaltender Danny Sabourin to give the Bullies a 1-0 lead. It would stay that way until the final seconds of regulation.

With Sabourin pulled for the extra attacker, Kosick collected Randy Perry's point shot on the weak side and slipped it past Bullies goaltender Jake Moreland at 19:47 to tie the game at 1-1.

After a scoreless overtime, Kosick and and the newest Nailer Chris MacKenzie recorded shootout goals for Wheeling, while Luke Curtin netted the only shootout goal for the Bullies.
