ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades finished out a light week of action with a 1-1-0 record. The 'Blades enter this week's action with a record of 6-7-0 (12 pts., T-4th South Division).

Wednesday & Friday, November 24 & 26 vs. Greenville Grrrowl Both Games @ 7:30 p.m.
GAME NOTES: Division opponents from last season meet up for the first two of five meetings this season. The two games this week will be the only two during the season-series played at Germain Arena. The Grrrowl held the ECHL's worst record last season amassing just 33 points for the year, while tying an ECHL record with just 14 wins. Last year the 'Blades went 5-1-0 vs. Greenville, including 3-1-0 at Germain Arena in the season-series. The Grrrowl have a new affiliation this season, joining on with the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL and Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL. Greenville enters this week's action with a record of 5-7-1 (11pts., T-4th East Division).
Saturday, November 27 vs. Las Vegas Wranglers 7:30 p.m.
GAME NOTES: The 'Blades and Wranglers meet for the first of two games on the season. Both games will be played at Germain Arena, with the second coming next week. This is the first time the Wranglers are making a trip to Florida in their history. Last year the teams met for the first time in their histories, with Florida collecting a 5-4 overtime win on November 4, 2003 at Las Vegas. Former Everblades goaltender Marc Magliarditi returns to Estero as a member of the Wranglers. Magliarditi played in 106 games as a member of the Everblades from 1998-2001. Las Vegas begins this week's action with a record of 5-5-1 (11pts., 5th West Division).
LAST WEEK'S RESULTS
Friday, November 19 vs. Pee Dee 2-0 L The Everblades returned home for the start of a six-game home stand for a pair of games against their former division rival Pee Dee Pride on Friday night. In the first of the back-to-back games, the Pride earned a 2-0 victory over the 'Blades, sending Florida to their third straight loss. Allan Sirois and Kevin Cooper scored second period goals for Pee Dee, and Pride goaltender Sebastien Laplante collected his second consecutive shutout by stopping 28 Florida shots. Rob Zepp played strong in goal for the 'Blades turning away 38 of 40 Pee Dee shots, but saw his record fall to 3-4-0 with the tough-luck loss. The shutout on home ice for the Everblades was the first in team history, and of the nine times the 'Blades have been shutout in their history, four times Pee Dee has been the team to blank them. Florida special teams: PP: 0-for-5, PK: 4-for-4.
Saturday, November 20 vs. Pee Dee 5-4 SOW The Everblades rebounded with a come-from-behind win over Pee Dee on Saturday night at Germain Arena. Brad Chuch scored a pair of third period goals for the 'Blades to overcome a two-goal deficit in the final 6:03 of the game. After neither team scored in the five-minute overtime period, the game moved to a shootout. In the shootout session, Tom Reimann, Chris Lee and Jim Abbott all scored for Florida while 'Blades net minder Craig Kowalski stopped three of the four shooters he faced to give Florida the win. The Everblades held a 2-1 lead after the first period on goals by Matt Pagnutti and Ernie Hartlieb. Overall Kowalski stopped 35 of 39 Pee Dee shots in regulation and overtime to raise his record to 3-3-0. Florida special teams: PP: 1-for-5, PK: 2-for-3.

League Leaders: Damian Surma enters this week's action ranked third in the ECHL in scoring with 17 points (9g, 8a). His nine goals is tied for the league lead. Surma is also tied for the lead in the ECHL in plus/minus with a plus-12. Matt Hendricks is tied for third in the league in rookie scoring with 11 points (5g, 6a). Hendricks is also second among rookies in shots with 48. Defensively, Matt Pagnutti is sixth in defensive scoring with nine points (2g, 7a).
Milestones: Several Everblades players are approaching milestone's in their professional careers. Here's a look at where some of the 'Blades stand: D Jared Newman is 15 games away from skating in his 100th career game...D Matt Pagnutti is two games shy of playing in his 500th career game...F Ernie Hartlieb collected his 100th career assist on 11/13 @ IDA...F Brent McDonald is 28 games away from playing in his 300th career game...D Tim O'Connell need to skate in 19 more games to reach the 300 games played mark... F Brad Church need to play in two games to reach the 500 career games played mark.
Special Teams: Entering this week the Everblades rank 21st on the power play (8-for-61, 13.1% overall, 16th at home, 15.2%, and 21st on the road, 10.7%) and rank 28th on the penalty kill (38-for-54, 70.4% overall, 25th at home, 75.0%, and 28th on the road, 65.4%)
Coach's Show: The Florida Everblades weekly coach's show, "Blades Talk" will return on Monday, November 22 at Stevie Tomato's Sports Page in Cape Coral. The show will run live from 7-8 p.m. and can be heard live on SportsRadio 770 AM. The weekly Monday night show features the "voice" of the Florida Everblades Kevin Reiter along with 'Blades assistant coach Jason Nobili. This week rookie forward Matt Hendricks will join the show. Fans are encouraged to attend!
