Wranglers Begin 14-Day Road Trip after beating Idaho

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers posted a 1-2 record this past week. The Wranglers fell 5-4 on Thursday in Bakersfield. The Wranglers split the weekend series with Idaho. Idaho took the 2-1 victory on Friday night, and the Wranglers answered with a 2-1 victory on Saturday night.

This week, Las Vegas will start a 14-day road with a game Tuesday night in Louisiana at 5:00 pm PST. The Wranglers will continue their week by heading to Texas on Wednesday for a 5:05 pm start against the Wildcatters. Las Vegas then heads to Biloxi, Mississippi for a 5:05 pm PST start with the Mississippi Sea Wolves on Thanksgiving Day. The Wranglers then head to Florida for the weekend, with a Saturday game against the Florida Everblades at 4:35 pm PST and a Sunday tilt versus the Pensacola Ice Pilots that begins at 2:35 pm PST.

Las Vegas 4 at Bakersfield 5

The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated 5-4 by Bakersfield Condors in Bakersfield on Thursday night. Condors' defenseman David Kudelka scored twice. Defensemen Guy Dupuis and Luis Tremblay each picked up two assists in the win. Wranglers' rookies Dustin Johner, Dana Lattery and Chris Stanley each scored in the defeat. Las Vegas center Rejean Stringer scored a shorthanded goal and added an assist in the loss. Goalie Sebastien Centomo stopped 38 Condors shots falling to 2-2-1.

Friday, November 19th

Idaho 2 at Las Vegas 1

The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated 2-1 by the defending Kelly Cup Champion Idaho Steelheads on Friday night in front of 5,263. Dan Tudin scored the Wranglers only goal. The Steelheads were paced by David Morisset and Warren Peters each with a goal and an assist.

Saturday, November 20th

Idaho 1 at Las Vegas 2

The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Idaho Steelheads 2-1 in front of 4,704 at the Orleans Arena on Saturday at the Orleans Arena. Left Wing Adam Huxley scored the game-winning goal with 0.6 seconds left on the clock for the 2-1 win. Huxley also added an assist on Dustin Johner's game-tying goal. Goalie Sebastien Centomo picked up the win with 25 saves. The Wranglers set a new team record in the third period with 30 shots on goal.

Wranglers Road Trip.....

The team will play a total of eight games in 12 days before returning home. The trip will feature stops in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Florida and a final stop in Alaska. The trip spans over 13,600 miles and over 70 hours of travel time alone. In comparison, the Columbia Inferno traveled only a total of 13,200 miles all of last year. The Wranglers logged 31,000 miles on the road during 2003-04. The Alaska Aces traveled over 61,000 miles last season. The Wranglers will travel through four different time zones and from the two farthest points in the ECHL (Florida to Alaska). Once the Wranglers finally return from Anchorage, they will head back out three days later for a two-game set in Boise, ID. Las Vegas will host their next game at the Orleans Arena against the Greenville Grrrowl on Tuesday, December 14th.
