Toledo Walleye News Release
(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Detroit Red
Wings and Chicago Blackhawks, announced today that they have made several
roster moves. They have transferred forward Taylor Raszka
from the 7-day injured
reserve list (IR) to the 30-day IR. Storm goaltender Logan Koopmans
has also been placed on
the 30-day IR, while recently appointed All-Star Andrew Martin
has been placed on the
3-day IR. In their absence, the Storm have added forward Nello Ferrara
(fur-are-uh) and
emergency goaltender Steve Klockowski
.Raszka had played in 13 games this season with the Storm before he was
initially placed on the IR. During those games, he recorded a pair of
points (1G, 1A) with 4 PIMS and a -1 rating. Logan Koopmans, meanwhile, has
also seen action in 13 games where he has accumulated a 9-4-0 record posting
a 2.81 goals against average and a 0.913 save percentage. Andrew Martin,
who was named to the 2007 RBK Hockey ECHL All-Star game yesterday, has been
a main offensive leader for the Storm. In 18 games with Toledo, he has
notched 20 points (8G, 12A) which is second most on the team and sixth most
among ECHL Rookies.
Nello Ferrara, the Chicago, Illinois native, joins the Storm after playing a
handful of games with the Bakersfield Condors a year ago. During just 5
games with the Condors, he went pointless with 17 PIM. Ferrara has also
seen time with the Laval Chiefs, Orlando Seals, Rockford IceHogs, and Kansas
City Outlaws.
