Manchester Monarchs News Release
At Bridgeport (11/4):
Seven goals by seven different players lifted the Manchester Monarchs over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, 7-5, on Friday night. Defensemen Mark Ardelan and Brad Fast tallied their first goals of the year along with center Matt Ryan. Right wingers Konstantin Pushkarev, Brad Smyth and Lauri Tukonen also scored for the Monarchs. Left wing Jeff Tambellini collected his third goal in as many games. Bridgeport recorded goals from left wing Steve Regier (2), right wing Rob Collins and center Wyatt Smith (2). Monarchs' goaltender Adam Hauser earned his third win of the season making 27 saves on 32 shots. Sound Tigers' goaltender Wade Dubielewicz took the loss stopping 44 shots. The Monarchs set a new franchise record for shots in a period with 31 in the middle frame. Manchester went 3-for-9 on the power play. Bridgeport was 0-for-7 with the man advantage.
Vs. Norfolk (11/5):
The Manchester Monarchs four game win streak came to an end as the Norfolk Admirals beat the Monarchs, 4-2, on Saturday night. Left wing Noah Clarke scored his first two goals of the season for the Monarchs. Norfolk received tallies from left wing Mike Brown and centers Nathan Barett, Mark Cullen and Colin Fraser. Admirals' goaltender Adam Munro earned the win stopping 35 shots. Monarchs' goaltender Barry Brust took his first loss of the season making 32 saves on 35 shots. Manchester went 1-for-6 on the power play. Norfolk was 2-for-7 with the man advantage.

The Monarchs (5-3-0-1, 11 points) are currently in for fifth place in the Atlantic Division. The Monarchs four-game winning streak came to an end on Saturday, November 5 as the Norfolk Admirals topped Manchester 4-2. After rifling 31 shots in the second period at Bridgeport Sound Tigers' goaltender Wade Dubielewicz on Friday night, the Monarchs set a new franchise record for shots in a period. The previous record of 29 shots in a period was recorded against the Portland Pirates in the second period of the Monarchs game on November 2, 2002.
Left wing Jeff Giuliano made his NHL debut on Saturday, November 5 as the Los Angeles Kings beat the Nashville Predators, 3-2, in a shootout at STAPLES Center. The 5-foot-9, 205-pound native of Nashua, New Hampshire, was recalled by the Kings on Thursday, November 3. Prior to his call-up, Giuliano was on a four-game scoring streak, collecting three goals and four points (3-1=4). Left wing Jeff Tambellini recorded eight points (3-5=8) during his three game scoring streak from October 29 - November 4. The 5-foot-11, 186-pound native of Port Moody, British Columbia, tallied a goal and an assist against the Philadelphia Phantoms on Saturday, October 29; a goal and two assists against the Hartford Wolf Pack on Sunday, October 30; and a goal and two assists against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Friday, November 4.
Right wing Brad Smyth and Tambellini lead the Monarchs in scoring with eight points. Smyth has two goals and six assists in nine games. Tambellini has three goals and five assists in eight games. Smyth is two points away from reaching 800 professional points in his career. The 6-foot, 200-pound native of Ottawa, Ontario, has 798 points (393-405=798) in 785 games over 13 seasons (1993-present) in the NHL, AHL, IHL and ECHL.

Monarchs T-Shirt Night:
The first 5,000 fans to the Monarchs game on Friday, November 11 versus the Lowell Lock Monsters will receive a free Monarchs T-shirt courtesy of Hood. Monarchs Third Jersey: The Monarchs will wear their third jersey on Saturday, November 12 versus the Hershey Bears. The Monarchs will wear the newly designed third jersey a total of 10-times this season. The jerseys are worn on the last home game of a multi-home game weekend.
