November 7, 2005 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Iowa Chops News Release
FRISCO, Tex. - Dallas Stars General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today that the club has acquired right wing Nathan Perrott from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for a sixth round draft pick in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
"Nathan comes in as one of our 23 and we look forward to the grit he will add to our lineup," said Armstrong. "We like his ability to skate and the pressure he can provide on the forecheck."
Perrott, 28, has appeared in three games with Toronto this season, averaging 9:07 minutes of ice time per game and collecting two penalty minutes. In parts of four NHL seasons with Nashville (2001-03) and Toronto (2003-05), he has appeared in 66 career NHL contests and posted two goals and four assists for six points with 197 penalty minutes.
The 6-0, 225-pound right wing played in 60 games with St. John's of the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2004-05 and recorded 16 goals and 12 assists for 28 points with 276 penalty minutes. He ranked 18th in the AHL in penalty minutes and ranked first on the team in that category.
Over his professional minor league career, Perrott has played in 456 career games, notching 77 goals and 80 assists for 157 points with 1,720 penalty minutes.
