Moose reassign Gherson to Columbia

The Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, announced they have re-assigned goaltender Robert Gherson to the Columbia Inferno of the ECHL.

Gherson, 22, appeared in one game with the Moose after signing a pro tryout contract on Nov. 1/05. He was victorious in his lone start, stopping 20 shots in a 5-1 win over the San Antonio Rampage on Nov. 4/05. The Toronto, ON native has appeared in three games so far this season with Manitoba's ECHL affiliate, the Columbia Inferno. In that time, he has gone 2-0-1 with a 1.96 goals against average and a .942 save percentage.

Gherson was originally a fifth choice, 145th overall, of the Washington Capitals in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
