Monarchs Sign Poirier To Tryout

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed goaltender Jason Poirier to a professional tryout agreement, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.

Poirier, 39, played under Monarchs Head Coach Mark Morris at Clarkson University during the 1988-89 season collecting a record of 7-5-1 with a goals-against-average of 3.50. The 5-foot-8, 190-pound native of Berlin, New Hampshire, played two games with the New Haven Blackhawks of the AHL during the 1989-90 season.
