
Aeros to honor C-USA champs Saturday; Teddy Bear Toss, too

HOUSTON, Texas - An exciting Saturday night at Toyota Center just got busier, as the Aeros announced Friday that they will honor University of Houston senior quarterback Kevin Kolb and senior linebacker Wade Koehl at the game. Kolb, C-USA's Offensive Player of the Year, and Koehl will participate in a pre-game puck drop. The pair helped lead the Cougars to the Conference-USA championship and a berth in the December 29 Liberty Bowl. The C-USA championship trophy will also be on hand.

Gametime is 7:35 p.m. versus Manitoba. The first 3,000 fans will receive an Aeros stocking. It's also the Teddy Bear Toss. Bring a new stuffed animal to throw on the ice after the Aeros' first goal. The items will be donated to KHOU's Spirit of Texas Toy Drive, benefiting The Salvation Army.
Saturday also concludes the Aeros Charities Toy Drive, which will furnish the Aeros Power Playroom at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital . The room opens next week. Please refer to this list of toys to find out which staff-approved toys are still needed by Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital . Those donating will receive a voucher for two tickets to the April 13 game.
