LAST WEEK'S HIGHLIGHTS
Vs. Lowell (2/9): The Manchester Monarchs extended their win streak to 10 games with goals from defenseman Kevin Dallman and right wing Tim Jackman while netminder Jason LaBarbera collected his sixth shutout of the season with a 2-0 win over the Lowell Devils at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Friday night. LaBarbera stopped all 39 shots from Lowell for his 28th win of the season. Devils netminder Frank Doyle stopped 19-of-21 shots in the loss. Manchester went 1-for-4 on the power play. Lowell was 0-for-8 with the man advantage.
Vs. Worcester (2/10): The Manchester Monarchs earned their 11th consecutive win by beating the Worcester Sharks 3-0 in front of a sell out crowd in the second game of a three-game home stand with a shutout performance by goaltender Barry Brust. Defenseman Kevin Dallman scored his second goal in as many nights and center Shay Stephenson tallied twice for the Monarchs. Brust earned the win with 34 saves. Sharks goaltender Thomas Greiss stopped 33 shots by the Monarchs. Manchester went 1-for-6 on the power play. Worcester was 0-for-8 with the man advantage.
Vs. Springfield (2/11): The Manchester Monarchs earned their 12th consecutive win by beating the Springfield Falcons 3-2 at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Sunday afternoon. The Monarchs are unbeaten in their last twelve (12-0-0-0) and currently hold the AHL record for the most consecutive wins this season. It also beats last season's record of 11 consecutive wins set by the Grand Rapids Griffins. Defenseman Doug Nolan scored his first goal of the season and defenseman Kevin Dallman collected two more goals for a four goal total in three days. Monarchs netminder Jason LaBarbera made 37 saves in the win. Falcons goaltender Gerald Coleman stopped 22 shots. Manchester went 0-for-2 on the power play. Springfield was 0-for-6 with the man advantage.
MONARCHS NEWS & NOTES
The Monarchs (34-12-6-1) are in first place in the Atlantic Division with 75 points and second overall in the AHL behind Norfolk (36-12-4-1, 77 points).
Manchester has a home record of 20-5-4-0 and a road record of 14-7-2-1.
The Monarchs power play is ranked fifth in the AHL after 53 games with a 19.6-percent man advantage scoring percentage. Manchester has scored 53 goals on 271 opportunities so far this season with the man advantage.
The Monarchs power play on the road is ranked first in the AHL with a 22.5-percent scoring rate. Manchester has scored 29 goals on 129 opportunities in 24 games with the man advantage outside the Verizon Wireless Arena.
Manchester's penalty kill is ranked 12th in the league after letting in 49 goals on 290 situations when the team has been down a man for an 83.1-percentage.
The Monarchs have killed off the last 40 penalties dating back to January 24 versus Springfield.
The Monarchs shutout their opponent for 172 minutes and 16 seconds from the 15:48 mark of the second period in the Monarchs 3-1 win over Providence on Saturday, February 3 through the 8:04 mark in Manchester's 3-2 win over Springfield on February 11. The Monarchs shutout out Lowell 2-0 on Friday, February 9 and blanked Worcester 3-0 on Saturday, February 10.
The Monarchs are on a 12-game win streak right now, their longest of the season and the longest of the AHL this season. Five of those wins came on the road giving Manchester their longest road winning streak of the season.

The Monarchs are on a seven game home winning streak. The record for this season is eight games from December 3, 2006 to January 12, 2007. Manchester has won 15 of their last 16 games at the Verizon Wireless Arena.

Left wing Noah Clarke leads the Monarchs in scoring with 42 points (19-23=42).
Clarke's 19 goals lead the team.
Clarke leads the Monarchs all-time in goals (80), points (184) and power play goals (26) and he is ranked second in assists with 104.
The Monarchs 2-0 win over the Lowell Devils on Friday, February 9 was Clarke's 250th Monarchs game.
During the Monarchs 12-game win streak, Clarke has 12 points (5-7=12)
Center Patrick O'Sullivan (17-17=34) is in second place in scoring for the Monarchs with 34 points. He is currently on recall with the Los Angeles Kings.
Left wing Matt Moulson (13-19=32) is ranked third on the Monarchs roster with 32 points.
Defenseman T.J. Kemp leads Manchester's blueliners with 30 points (3-27=30).
Kemp is tied for fifth place among AHL defensemen with 30 points.
Rookie Kemp also leads the Monarchs team in assists with 27.
Right wing John Zeiler (11-16=27) is in fifth place on the Monarchs squad.
Zeiler leads the Monarchs in the plus/minus category with a plus-17 in 51 games which is also tied for 12th in the league.
Center Marty Murray is ranked sixth on the Monarchs with 25 points (5-20=25).
Defenseman Doug Nolan scored his first goal of the season in Sunday's 3-2 win over Springfield. Every Monarchs player has scored a goal this season.
Defenseman Kevin Dallman scored four goals in three games including the game-winners on Friday versus Lowell and Sunday versus Springfield.
Dallman joined the team for a conditioning stint on Friday, February 9 and will rejoin the Kings on Monday, February 12. He has seven assists and 10 penalty minutes in 40 games so far this season with Los Angeles.
Goaltender Jason LaBarbera is first in the league among minutes played with 2,663 minutes in 45 games, saves (1,369), wins (29) and save-percentage (.934). He also ranks second among active goaltenders with a goals-against-average of 2.14.
LaBarbera was named Rbk X-Pulse/AHL Goaltender of the Month for January. In 10 appearances last month, LaBarbera was 8-2-0 with a 1.88 goals-against-average, a .945 save-percentage and one shutout.
LaBarbera has played in 230 AHL games with the Monarchs and the Hartford Wolf Pack. He has a record of 121-69-20, a goals-against-average of 2.14 and a save-percentage of .927 in 12,844 minutes of work between the pipes and 5,863 saves in the AHL.
LaBarbera collected his sixth shutout of the season on Friday, February 9 versus the Devils stopping all 39 shots he faced. His 27 AHL career shutouts with the Monarchs and Wolf Pack lead all active goaltenders and is tied for sixth all time in the AHL with netminder Jean-Francois Labbe (1993-2003, 27 shutouts in 420 games over 10 seasons.
Goaltender Barry Brust collected his first shutout of the season by stopping all 34 shots in the Monarchs 3-0 win over the Worcester Sharks on Friday, February 10.
The last Monarchs game that Brust played in was when Manchester topped the Houston Aeros 3-2 on January 26. Center Shay Stephenson scored the game-winning goal in the last two games that Brust backstopped.

1-11-06 - Left wing Jeff Giuliano is week-to-week with an upper body injury.
1-19-07 - Right wing Ryan Murphy is month-to-month with an upper body injury.
COMMUNITY NEWS
The Draft Party for the Skills '07 event will be on Tuesday, February 13 at J.W. Hills in Manchester where the honorary coaches, Jamie Staton from WMUR Channel 9 and Greg Kretchmar from WGIR Rock 101 FM, will choose which Monarchs players they want on their team. Monarchs Coach Mark Morris and Assistant Coach Scott Pellerin will also be divided between the teams. The Draft Party is open to the public and begins at 7:00 p.m.
