AHL announces suspensions

February 12, 2007 - American Hockey League (AHL) News Release


SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions:

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins defenseman Wade Skolney was suspended for one (1) regular-season game as a result of his actions during an AHL game vs. the Portland Pirates on Feb. 9. Skolney received an automatic one-game suspension for accumulating three game misconducts in the general category this season.

Skolney missed the Penguins' game vs. Binghamton on Feb. 10.

Milwaukee Admirals left wing Kelsey Wilson was suspended for one (1) regular-season game as a result of his actions during an AHL game vs. the San Antonio Rampage on Feb. 10. Wilson was assessed an instigator penalty within the final five minutes of the third period, resulting in an automatic one-game suspension under AHL Rule 47.21.

Wilson missed the Admirals' game vs. Houston on Feb. 11.

Hershey Bears defenseman Dean Arsene and Albany River Rats center Keith Aucoin have each been suspended for one (1) regular-season game as a result of their actions during an AHL game between their teams on Feb. 10. Arsene received an automatic one-game suspension for accumulating three game misconducts in the general category this season, and Aucoin was assessed an instigator penalty within the final five minutes of the third period, resulting in an automatic one-game suspension under AHL Rule 47.21.

Aucoin will miss the River Rats' game vs. Norfolk on Feb. 16, while Arsene will miss the Bears' game vs. Albany on Feb. 17.
