UPCOMING OPPONENTS
Friday, February 16- Phantoms vs. Portland Pirates, 7:05: The Phantoms are back at home after a three game tour of the North Division to face the Portland Pirates (Anaheim Ducks) at the Wachovia Spectrum. The Pirates start the week ranked fifth in the Atlantic Division with a record of 23-20-2-5 for 53 points. Mark Hartigan is currently leading the team with 19 goals, while Joe Motzko leads the way in assists with 25. The last time these two teams played was March 26, 2006, when the Phantoms posted a 4-1 win.
Saturday, February 17- Phantoms @ Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, 7:05: The Phantoms head up the Northeast Extension to visit the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (Pittsburgh Penguins). This is the seventh of ten meetings between the two teams this season, with both teams having won three games so far. The Penguins took the last meeting this past Wednesday, when Marc-Antoine Pouliot earned a hat trick the night before he was recalled by the Edmonton Oilers. The Penguins are currently third in the East division with a record of 32-13-2-3 for 69 points. Jonathan Filewich leads the club with 21 goals and 20 assists for 41 points.
Sunday, February 18- Phantoms vs. Norfolk, 5:05: The Phantoms host the Norfolk Admirals (Chicago Blackhawks), on a very special day at the Wachovia Spectrum this Sunday. Before the game, Flyers head coach John Stevens will be inducted into the Phantoms Hall of Fame (more below). The Ads start the week as the best team in the league, with a record of 36-12-4-1 for 77 points. Martin St. Pierre is the leading scorer for the Admirals and ranks third in the league with 20 goals and 53 assists for 73 points. St. Pierre was recalled by the Blackhawks this morning. Kris Versteeg is the third leading rookie scorer for the Admirals with 22 goals and 28 assists for 50 points. The last time the Phantoms faced the Admirals was February 3, with Norfolk taking a 4-3 shootout win. Four of the six meetings between the clubs to this point have been decided in overtime or the shootout.

STEVENS JOINS HALL OF FAME THIS SUNDAY
Flyers head coach John Stevens will become the fourth member of the Phantoms Hall of Fame this Sunday when he's inducted in a ceremony prior to the evening's game against the Norfolk Admirals. Stevens, 40, was a member of the Phantoms organization as a player and a coach for the first 10 years of the franchise's existence, from its inception in 1996 until he was named an assistant coach with the Philadelphia Flyers in June of 2006. In October, he was elevated to head coach of the Flyers. Stevens captained the Phantoms to the Calder Cup in 1998 and coached the team to a second in 2005. The ceremony will include a video tribute of highlights from Stevens' career with the team, a presentation of gifts and some words from Stevens.
Stevens is scheduled to appear on Daily News Live this Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 6:00 to discuss his upcoming induction.
SPECTRUM IN COUNTRY CRAZE THIS FRIDAY
Country music fans won't want to miss Friday's game against the Portland Pirates at the Wachovia Spectrum. National recording duo Rushlow Harris will be playing a postgame concert on the ice at the Spectrum. Rushlow Harris is comprised of former Little Texas frontman Tim Rushlow and his cousin Doni Harris, formerly of the band Lariat. They are currently in the process of recording their first album for Show Dog Nashville records, the recording label of country music superstar Toby Keith. The duo spent the last part of 2006 opening for Keith's concert tour, and have been promoting their hit singles That's So You and Bagpipes Cryin'. Admission to the concert is free with a ticket to the game, which gets underway at 7:05.
PHANTOMS READING TOUR IN FULL SWING
The Phantoms are continuing an extensive tour of schools throughout the Delaware Valley over the next month, leading right up to the team's Seussapalooza Night on March 2 to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday. Tomorrow, Pete Zingoni will be at Holy Trinity School in Morrisville, while Riley Cote is headed to St. Kevin's School in Springfield. Two more players will be out on Thursday, one at Glenn Acres Elementary in West Chester and another at Leedom Elementary in Ridley Park. PHANTOMS NOTABLES
John DeCaro became the fifth goaltender to appear in net for the Phantoms this season when he played on Saturday at Hamilton... John Slaney has an assist in three straight and six of his last seven games... Slaney turned 35 last Wednesday, and Martin Houle turns 22 today... Philadelphia was 5-for-11 (45%) on the power play over the three-game weekend and has power play goals in eight straight games. The team is 13-for-34 in the eight-game stretch (38 percent). The Phantoms have power play goals in 14 of their last 15 games.
