
Blackhawks recall Martin St. Pierre, assign Troy Brouwer to Norfolk

CHICAGO, Illinois - Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Blackhawks have recalled forward Martin St. Pierre from Norfolk. The Blackhawks also announced today that the team has assigned forward Troy Brouwer to the Norfolk Admirals in the AHL.
St. Pierre earned his second recall of the season from Norfolk to the Blackhawks. He appeared in seven games earlier this season picking up his first NHL point/assist while posting a +1 rating and four penalty minutes. St. Pierre ranks 3rd in the AHL in scoring at the time of his recall having posted 20 goals and 53 assists for 73 points in 46 games played for Norfolk while posting a+10 rating and 69 penalty minutes.
Brouwer appeared in 10 games with the Blackhawks this season posting no points and seven penalty minutes. In his first pro season, he's scored 25 goals and 53 points for Norfolk this season and was selected to play in the All-Star contest. Brouwer's 53 points ranked 3rd in the AHL scoring race when he was recalled by the Blackhawks on January 25th and ranks 11th as of today.
The Admirals will return to Scope on Wednesday night for the final game of a six-game homestand. They will then depart on a ten-game road trip that will see them away from Norfolk until March 7.
